★ Project 7 - Exhibition

In this project, we were requested to make exhibition booths in the HBP DRUM. All of us were divided into groups by courses, each courses had to decorate their exhibition booth and share their studio works from Project 1 to 6 in the booth with HBP community. Besides that, we also made teams to perform the exhibition, which were Interior Design mates with Planning mates. For others, Construction of Management was with Quantity Survey, Building Survey with Building Technology and Architecture was dependent.

So what's our theme? Our theme was 'Floating Lines'. Floating line? What's that exactly? What comes to my mind is only objects hanging on the sky with transparent thread.

We had made some discussions about the design before decorating the booth. Teams were made which were Designing and decorating booth and designing banner. Since we are from interior design and designing furniture will may be one of our job in the future, so our concept was came from furniture. After discussion, we had decided to make some chairs and hung it up. All our coursemates hand-in-hand in making the model of chairs, it's not easy to make it because it's legs can't stick on it's body for long. We had tried many ways to solve the problem, finally we succeeded. Our end product was shown below.

I love it really so muchhhh!!!! Thank you our coursemates for this, they were put a lot of effort on this.

Also, we had to show our studio works on the prepared boards. How to perform it on the board? Either with usual art gallery style or our own style? Actually I more prefer art gallery style. simple but comfortable, shown like picture below.

After discussing, we decided to perform it in our own style, we arranged some drawings to be bulge.

For the banner, Hui Yong and Atifaq were responsible to design it. Fu Kai and I also involved in it to help them. Designing banner was requested to be designed using photoshop while Fu Kai was good in using photoshop software. After we discussed, we finally decided to make our banner in this look.

This was our end product. Perhaps it's not nice enough compared to others but we are so satisfied and proud of our banner. Haha.

Beside all of this, we also add additional stuff which was made by Joshua for sleepless nights.

This is nice, right?

For this booth, our beloved coursemates stayed up for few nights to complete this last-second project which was not really like an studio work. It's hard, it's tired, but it's worth when our design and sacrifices brings a real product.

Finally the exhibition day came! Opening ceremony was taken place and this was prepared by committee for many days, it's so bad that I didn't take any photos of it. :'(

Let me show you the exhibition booth on that day :)

The beautiful words 'Interior Design Urban Planning' made by Chai Mei who is from Urban Planning and Fu Kai. Also, teammates got involved in it to help them.

Selected sculptures and models were shown on the table.

This white sculpture which was used to support the 'MODEL' card was made by Chia Hong, Kar Hee and me. It's made by woods. We were so satisfied with it, HAHA. But I don't know where is it now. Lol.

This one was written by me, I tried to write it in structure form, but it was not shown as what I expected.

It's so glad that my drawings had been chosen to be shown on exhibition day. I know it's not prefect, or maybe it's not a good drawing, but I am really delighted that I could share my effort with everyone because these was my first try in these skills. :) Thanks Dr. Mazran for giving me the chance.

Let me show you how Urban Planning pleased visitors by their booth.

This one was made by Carmen, it's nice too, right?

Architecture did very well on this. They made the thread like floating.

This is cute. All were so interested with it. Taking photo by using these self-made cute stuff, included the lecturers. Haha.

This project was finally over! Big claps to us!!!!
It brought a lot of fun to us, I strongly feel that relationship between coursemates and even schoolmates improved again. :)
